Sonia Son has sought out defining identity and shares her experiences growing in faith. As she establishes her identity, she is currently addressing sexuality in her works. From her challenges of religious sensitivities, she creates works using the visual elements to share her faith life and stance on a subject that is not talked much about in her experiences in the church. Sonia’s abstract approach blurs the lines of religion to create a space which we can all come to relate. Sonia is currently studying about the theology of the body, women’s history, and the studies of the relationship of the masculine and feminine entities.
